Family Fundays

The Woodley Pilot Light Trust helps the Churches of Woodley to run Fundays each half term and for three days in the summer.

These are open to all and the aim is to help people from across Woodley meet each other.  They provide a place for people to take their children in the school holidays without having to pay.  This is particularly valued by those who are unable to have a holiday away from Woodley.

The usual pattern is to have one FunDay in each half term.  These are hosted by:
  • St James Church in the October half term – Next one: Monday 24 October, 2011, 1.30-4pm
  • Woodley Baptist Church in the February half term – Next one: Monday 13 February, 2012, 1.30-4pm
  • Emmanuel Church in the May half term  - Date to be confirmed
These days will have craft activities, bouncy castles. Just Around the Corner bring the “camel” and a variety of computer games.

The FunDays are run by a group of volunteers from the local churches.  The Woodley Pilot Light Trust appreciates all who give to support these days, to enable them to offer the activities free of charge.  In particular we value a grant form the Community Foundation of Berkshire Grassroots Fund.
